Step 1: Plan and Measure
Once you’ve got your measurements and know exactly what you want the finished project to look like, it’s time to purchase your supplies! As this project is purely decorative, the perfect grass and accessories will vary from person to person subject to personal tastes. Step 4: Attach Your Grass

If you have purchased stemmed artificial flowers and plants, these may will also need cutting down to size – being sure to leave enough foliage to apply your chosen adhesive.
Step 2: Purchase Your Supplies
Once you’ve got your measurements and know exactly what you want the finished project to look like, it’s time to purchase your supplies! With a helper, put the grass against the wall and add your staples to the perimeter of each piece. Place the staples around the edges so you don’t staple down the grass blades as this will look odd, ruining the illusion that the grass is growing directly out of the wall.
Brick, Wood, Plastic, Cement
If you are installing your grass wall on any of these tougher backdrops, then it may call for a stronger adhesive such as a tough polyurethane construction adhesive.
When using wooden surfaces for outdoor grass walls, it’s worth considering applying a water-resistant sealant before placing the grass. Doing so will also keep mould and mildew from forming between the two surfaces, which could cause the wood to rot over time.
Step 5: Personalise It!
You could leave it there, as the artificial grass alone is a striking addition to any room décor; but if your aim is to create a more luxurious, highly decorated grass wall, now’s the time to get creative! You can apply artificial flowers and plants using the adhesive from the previous step.
